Speaking at the India Today Conclave 2021, Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane said the Indian armed forces have always had an inclusive policy when it came to admitting women.
Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane spoke on a range of topics at the India Today Conclave 2021 -- from the LAC standoff to the deployment of woman officers in combat in the near future. He said the Indian armed forces have always had an inclusive policy when it came to admitting women.
"As [far as] the armed forces and the Indian Army in particular [are concerned], we don't discriminate on any ground whatsoever, whether it be language, religion or gender. We have a very inclusive policy in this regard," General MM Naravane said when asked if the Army is preparing for a time when women will be sent for combat.
