Will BJP people stop eating puffed rice? Mamata slams Centre on GST rate hike
India Today
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday slammed the Centre over the hike in GST rates on several products and services.
Taking a dig at the BJP-led Centre, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday, July 21, asked if BJP would stop eating puffed rice (muri) as GST had been imposed on it?
“Now that GST has been imposed on puffed rice as well, so will the people of BJP not eat that now. GST is levied on sweets, lassi, and curd. What will people eat? GST is even imposed when a patient is hospitalised,” Mamata Banerjee said at TMC's Martyr's Day rally.
