The amendment to the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, will allow the Centre to create a unified database of all registered births and deaths.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Centre's recent proposal to amend the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969, would be used for NPR (National Population Register) and NRC (National Register of Citizens) and violate Article 324 of the Constitution.
