Widespread rainfall over northern plains likely over next five days as southwest monsoon nears: IMD

As per IMD, "fairly widespread to widespread rainfall" is very likely over northwest India over the next five days and isolated heavy rainfall is also very likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi between July 11 and 13.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest Monsoon over Delhi, remaining parts of West Uttar Pradesh, some more parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan in the next 24 hours. "Conditions are also becoming favourable for further advance of southwest Monsoon over remaining parts of the country during July 11 and 12," IMD said. Further strengthening of easterly winds at lower levels is also likely over northwest India over the next three to four days, the weather department has said.More Related News
