The Janata Dal-United of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and the Rashtriya Janata Dal, currently under Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, have demanded that a caste census be conducted as part of delayed Census-2021.

There is a saying about Bihar politics. Voters don’t cast their votes, they vote their caste. Now, two principal parties of Bihar have brought the issue of caste census to the Centre. The Janata Dal-United (JDU) of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), currently under Leader of Opposition in Bihar Tejashwi Yadav, have demanded that a caste census be conducted as part of delayed Census-2021.
