Why Arabs and Arab Americans feel being counted as White in the US doesn't reflect their reality

With complexity can come frustration, especially in a country such as the US. Because of slavery and the system of racial caste that it created, US society tends to view race and ethnicity through the limited categories of Black and White.

"You ask 10 different people what it means to be Arab, and you could get 10 different answers."
