Two men with one name were called up to the stage several times at the Oscars — the Daniels. They are Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, the directing duo whose movie "Everything Everywhere All at Once" was most honored film at the Academy Awards.
The pair met as students at Emerson College and connected as assistants at the New York Film Academy summer camp in 2009, they told Boston.com.
"That's kind of why Daniels exists now. We were summer camp counselors and we were both so hyper and so enthusiastic about making really weird movies with the kids that we kind of realized we were kindred spirits, so we decided to keep making our own summer movies after hours," Scheinert told the publication.

In the past year, over 135 million passengers traveled to the U.S. from other countries. To infectious disease experts, that represents 135 million chances for an outbreak to begin. To identify and stop the next potential pandemic, government disease detectives have been discreetly searching for viral pathogens in wastewater from airplanes. Experts are worried that these efforts may not be enough.
