
White House distances itself from Maxine Waters’ ‘confrontational’ comments

The White House appeared to distance itself from House Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters Monday for telling racial justice protesters to “get more confrontational” if Derek Chauvin is acquitted in George Floyd’s murder trial.
President Biden believes “protests must be peaceful,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said when asked about Waters’ (D-Calif.) comments. “Well I can speak to the president’s view, he has been very clear that he recognizes the issue of police violence against people of color, communities of color is one of great anguish and it’s exhausting and quite emotional at times,” Psaki began.More Related News
