In a talk show, Shibani asked Farhan, "When are we getting married, April or May?" To which Farhan funnily replied, "In April, we May!" Akhtar happily praised Shibani further by saying, "She is very pretty and extremely special. Last year, we've kind of been getting to know each other and I couldn't be happier about it." He added, "I have never felt comfortable to share personal stuff like this before. But I just feel that somehow with the celebrating of this, it seems very natural to me."

Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar’s wedding is set to take place at Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's Khandala farmhouse today. The couple will exchange vows, instead of a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony or a nikah. The couple zeroed in on this decision, keeping each other's religious backgrounds and beliefs in mind. Their wedding guest list includes Meiyang Chang, Gaurav Kapoor, Samir Kochar, Monica Dogra, Ritesh Sidwani and Rhea Chakraborty. Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are on the guest list too, but there has been no official confirmation on whether they are attending Farhan and Shibani’s D-Day.
