What to expect from Republicans if they regain the House

If Republicans regain a majority in the House of Representatives, it will lead to a split government in DC and handicap President Joe Biden's legislative agenda.
Regardless, Republicans now have the power to stifle President Joe Biden's legislative agenda for the next two years and enact some policies popular with the conservative base, which include investigating Hunter Biden's business dealings, rebuking the findings of the January 6th Committee, and subpoenaing members of the State Department over the withdrawal from Afghanistan. By the time the 118th U.S. Congress officially convenes in January 2023, the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol building will have already dissolved. However, a Republican-controlled House will likely ensure the committee is never revived and that its conclusions are rebuked by House leadership.
