Suriya and Prakash Raj-starrer Jai Bhim is receiving appreciation from all quarters for raising an important social issue. The film has been trending on Twitter after a scene from the film started doing the rounds on the social media platform. The clip shows Prakash Raj's character, a cop, slapping a man for 'speaking in Hindi'. Raj asks the person to talk in Tamil. A section of people on Twitter are offended by the scene and say it was spewing 'hate' on Hindi. Dear Prakash Rai alias Prakash Raj, which article of the constitution provides rights to hit any individual just because he's not speaking Hindi or any Indian language? If that's so, how many Kannadigas should hit u for speaking in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu in other movies? pic.twitter.com/y0GQrnX1Tf Prakash Raj with his propaganda in the movie ‘Jay Bhim’ where he slaps a person who speaks in Hindi. pic.twitter.com/1SwPVssbK7 You are mistaken. If you watch the movie carefully the person who speaks hindi also speak tamil but the character Prakash Raj acted doesn't know hindi and he knew that the person is confusing him by speaking hindi so he slapped him and told him to speak in tamil. See hindi version, he says, tell the truth but in tamil and telugu version he says, tell in tamil or telugu. Why don't put same in all versions. Just put "tell the truth" instead of tell in tamil like Hindi version. It's unnecessary cheap language politics. Remember zomoto issue That beeda vayan knows Tamil, then why does he speak Hindi in Tamil Nadu? We don't know if prakash Raj even understands hindi. That slap was for hindi imposition in Tamil Nadu
However, another section of Twitter users say that he didn't slap the man for speaking in Hindi, but for trying to confuse him by speaking in Hindi.
