The Union Minister slammed people for raising questions about the recent decision of the UP government to make the National Anthem mandatory in all the state madrasas.
Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti on Friday slammed people for raising questions on the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government for making the National Anthem mandatory in all the state madrasas.
Jyoti said, “ People sacrificed their lives by singing the National Anthem and Vande Mataram for the freedom struggle. So why is there so much trouble singing the National Anthem today?”
The Union minister also added that people will have to sing the National Anthem of the country where they live.
Jyoti was in Kanpur to attend an official function.
The UP government on Thursday made it mandatory for all students and teachers in state madrasas to sing the National Anthem before commencing classes.
The decision was taken at the meeting of the UP Madrasa Education Board on March 24 and Danish Azad Ansari, UP Minority state minister passed this order.
The order will be applicable to all recognised, aided and non-aided madrasas.
