Sachin Tendulkar also recalled the 2011 World Cup victory, saying he had told Virat Kohli and Yusuf Pathan to be careful and not drop him during the victory lap at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Saturday recalled a funny episode from his playing days, shedding light on how a few of his teammates had played a prank on Virat Kohli during his first series with the senior national team. Virat Kohli, who made his India debut in August 2008, had revealed in 2017 that his former teammates Yuvraj Singh, Munaf Patel, and Irfan Pathan had tricked him into believing that newcomers in the Indian team have to seek blessings from Sachin Tendulkar by touching the batting great's feet during their first meeting at the dressing room. Kohli had said his eagerness to meet and talk to his idol Tendulkar did not give him the time to assess whether his teammates were saying the truth or not. The India captain said he fell at Tendulkar's feet when he first met him at the India dressing room.More Related News
