The Rideau Canal Skateway opens to the public this weekend.
The National Capital Commission says a 3.6-kilometre section of the world's largest skating rink, between Somerset Street and Bank Street, will open at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Skaters will be able to skate on the Rideau Canal Skateway on Saturday and Sunday.
Equipment rentals will be available at Capital Skates, located at the Fifth Avenue access point. The BeaverTails huts will also be open.
The Ottawa 67's hosts the Oshawa Generals Friday night at TD Place.
Game time is 7 p.m.
