India Today
In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rajesh Mishra had got 10,400 votes by contesting as an independent. But contesting on a Congress ticket this year, he got merely 3,570 votes.
In the by-elections held for two seats in Bihar — Kusheshwarsthan and Tarapur — Janata Dal (United) retained both seats. But the drubbing suffered by the Congress will force it to introspect to improve its chances in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
