Westbound lanes of Hwy 403 at Main St. re-open after OPP investigation

All westbound lanes of Highway 403 at Main Street in Hamilton have re-opened, after an OPP investigation earlier Tuesday.
Police shared few details earlier in the day, but said drivers could expect a "lengthy closure."
Around 4 p.m., OPP said the investigation had concluded however and that all lanes were opening.
The closure was one of a cluster of traffic delays in the area Tuesday.
In a video posted to Twitter, OPP Const. Kevin Westhead said he was at the scene of a separate incident — a collision involving commercial vehicles at the southbound ramp connecting Highway 6 to the 403.
That ramp is "completely closed," he said.
"There are just significant collisions right now and delays in this area."
"Please, as you are making your way into this area, proceed with safety and with caution even though it is starting to dry up, the collisions are going to be, unfortunately, still coming in as drivers are just not paying attention."
All westbound traffic was being diverted onto Main Street, according to OPP. Lanes of King Street West were also closed for part of Tuesday between Dundurn Street North and Macklin Street North as a result of the investigation, but they reopened around 2:30 p.m.
