A West Virginia pharmacist who was convicted of poisoning her husband to death with insulin has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Natalie Cochran was sentenced Friday after jurors last week found her guilty of first-degree murder in Raleigh County Circuit Court, CBS affiliate WDTV reported.
Cochran's husband, Michael Cochran, 38, died in February 2019. Prosecutors said Natalie Cochran poisoned him with insulin so that he wouldn't find out about a $2 million Ponzi scheme that she admitted to operating from 2017 to 2019.

When the Environmental Protection Agency was formed in 1970, its mission was to protect the environment and human health. Since then, scientists, health experts and advocates have worked to implement regulations aimed at protecting and cleaning the air we breathe and the water we drink. Many of these regulations, which were aimed at cleaning up the air, also helped reduce carbon emissions, which can contribute to climate change – so it was a win for our bodies and the planet.
