West Point pushed back on a student group's petition to the Supreme Court requesting it block the military academy from continuing its race-based admissions policies.
In June, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) in its lawsuits against Harvard University and the University of North Carolina, finding that considering race during the college admissions process violated the Constitution’s equal protection clause.
