India comfortably sealed the T20I series 3-1 with a 59-run victory in the fourth game against West Indies on Saturday. The Indian think tank could possibly give a game to Ishan Kishan and Kuldeep Yadav.
India will take on West Indies in the fifth T20I and final match of their tour at Lauderhill, Florida on Sunday (August 7). The match begins at 8 pm IST.
Rohit Sharma's men comfortably sealed the series 3-1 with a 59-run victory in the fourth game on Saturday. Having now pocketed the T20I leg, the Indian think tank could possibly give a game to opener Ishan Kishan.
So far in the series, Suryakumar Yadav opened the innings with captain Rohit Sharma. The plan gave India decent starts, but Suryakumar could not convert his score into a big one. India may play him at number three or four to accommodate Ishan at the top with his Mumbai Indians opening partner Rohit.
Another possibility, or rather a question, would be will Kuldeep Yadav get a game? The left-arm wrist spinner, who last played against Sri Lanka in February 2022, travelled to the Caribbean for the T20I leg but has been warming the bench.
West Indies, on the other hand, don't have an answer against India's all-round performances in this series. In every match, a new man stands up and performs for India. The West Indies need to seriously reconsider their combination or work out on better execution of their plans to pose a threat to India.
