West Indies vs India, 5th T20I: India all set for final rehearsal before much-awaited Asia Cup

WI vs IND, 5th T20I: India have taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series, having won the fourth match by 59 runs at Lauderhill.
India have pretty much been clinical in their tour of the West Indies. After winning the ODI series 3-0, the Men in Blue have taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series.
On Saturday, August 7, Rohit Sharma’s men will lock horns with the hosts in the fifth and final T20I at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.
Although India have already sealed the fate of the series, the last game will hold a lot of significance for them. Later this month, the Asia Cup 2022 will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India are yet to name their squad for the multi-nation tournament.
A number of their players, including Suryakumar Yadav and Arshdeep Singh have stepped up and delivered, but Rohit and Co. are still looking for their apt combination in T20Is.
The West Indies, on the other hand, haven’t been at their best by any stretch of the imagination. The series could well have been 4-0 in favour of India had Devon Thomas not scored 10 runs off Avesh Khan’s final over in the second T20I at Warner Park.
Nicholas Pooran’s men would want to get a consolation win under their belt and end the white-ball series on a positive note.
