West Indies sieze control of 2nd Test after Bangladesh batters disappoint on Day 1

West Indies vs Bangladesh: Litton Das hit a fifty in an otherwise ordinary batting performance from Bangladesh as the visitors were bowled out for 234 on the opening day of the 2nd Test in St Lucia.
Bangladesh came up with an improved batting show on Day 1 of the 2nd Test but none of their batters were able to convert their starts into big scores. West Indies bowled the visitors out for 234, the second time in the series Bangladesh have been shot out on the opening day of the Test.
West Indies reached Stumps on Day 1 of the 2nd Test at the Darren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia at 67 for 0 with captain Kraigg Brathwaite and opener John Campbell remaining unbeaten on 30 and 32, respectively. West Indies trail Bangladesh's first innings total by 167 runs.
West Indies are looking to complete a clean sweep of the 2-match Test series after having won the series opener in Antigua by 7 wickets last week.
Notably, Bangladesh were shot down for 103 in the first innings of the first Test as West Indies went on to win it by a comfortable margin with almost 2 days to spare.
LITTON, TAMIM DISPLAY FIGHT
Opener Tamim Iqbal and wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das were the only positives for Bangladesh in an otherwise disappointing batting show. Tamim looked like he had his eye in while hitting nine boundaries for 46, but he was rooted to the crease while poking at Alzarri Joseph and was caught in the covers.
Anderson Phillip, given his Test debut after Gudakesh Motie was tried in Antigua, earned the first wicket with his second delivery when he bowled Mahmudul Hasan Joy for 10. However, senior pacer Kemar Roach, who shone with 7 wickets in the first Test, went wicketless in the first innings after West Indies won the toss and opted to bowl.
