West Indies climbing to 6th spot in ICC Test rankings just a start - Phil Simmons ahead of South Africa Test

Ahead of the first Test vs South Africa on Thursday, West Indies coach Phil Simmons has said that team's rise in the ICC Test rankings is just a start. West Indies are currently ranked 6th, a place above South Africa in the Test rankings.

Ahead of the first test versus South Africa from Thursday, West Indies coach Phil Simmons has said that his team which recently jumped to the 6th place in ICC Test rankings will aim to climb higher by giving better performances than the past. In May, West Indies had leapfrogged the likes of Sri Lanka and South Africa to occupy the 6th spot. The growth and progress was the result of a memorable 2-0 win away in Bangladesh and the hard-fought 0-0 draw in the Test Series at home against Sri Lanka. "We have to step it up and be 100% better than we were when we played our last game. We are up to six (in the test rankings) and that is just the start of things.
