In West Bengal’s Purulia, a student with her three-year-old child appeared for her high school examination on Tuesday.

Anita Mahto, a student at Jhalda Block Health Center sat with her for the exam.

The teacher of Khamar High School, Sulekha Mahato, said ‘’Anita was admitted to Jhalda Block Health Center on April 17 due to labor pain. She took the test that day and later gave birth to a baby boy.’’

On April 19, she again took an exam with her three-day-old child in the same room.

Husband Ras Bihari Mahto said that his wife's examination was going well.

The examination centre authorities provided her with a separate room.
