West Bengal schools to reopen for higher classes from November 16

Schools will reopen for higher students of higher classes in West Bengal from November 16. Schools are requested to adopt the necessary Covid-19 SOPs for the safety of students and staff.
The West Bengal school authorities are making all the required preparations for the reopening of the schools. Schools will reopen for students of higher classes from November 16. The school education department has asked the institutions to adopt all Covid-19 SOPs. The Education Minister, Bratya Basu, has said that the school education department has left the decision in the hands of the parents/guardians to take the call of whether to send their children to school or not.
Schools will reopen in the state after a gap of 20 months. Physical classes began for a brief period of time for senior school students in mid-February but were shut again in April amid the rise of the second wave of Covid-19.
