West Bengal: Heavy rain predicted, IMD issues yellow and orange alerts for multiple districts

According to the India Meteorological Department, rain or thundershower with lightning are likely to occur over all districts of North Bengal from October 2 to October 4.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted heavy rainfall in the northern part of West Bengal between October 2 and October 4. The weather office also issued 'Orange' and 'Yellow' alerts for parts of West Benegal. A Low Pressure area lies over west Bihar & adjoining East Uttar Pradesh. It is likely to move eastward and reach east Bihar and adjoining North Bengal during 3rd - 4th October 2021.
