BJP on Saturday announced its list of 57 candidates for the first two phases of the West Bengal Assembly elections to be held on March 27 and April 1.
Announcing its first list of candidates for the upcoming West Bengal elections on Saturday, the BJP made it official that Suvendu Adhikari, the former TMC heavyweight, will be fighting Mamata Banerjee from the Nandigram seat. Elections to Bengal's 294-member Assembly will be held in eight phases with the results to be declared on May 2. The BJP has decided to field former Trinamool Congress leader Suvendu Adhikari from Nandigram against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
