
West Bengal Board to shut internet in these areas to avoid paper leak of Class 10 exams

As the Class 10 board exams in West Bengal will start from Monday onwards, the board will be taking strict measures to prevent question paper leaks.
West Bengal Board Secondary 2022 offline exams for Class 10 will begin from Monday onwards. The Board has announced strict measures to stop question paper leaks. This year Madhyamik exam or Class 10 exams will start from March 7 and will end on March 16.
While addressing a press conference, the president of the West Bengal Secondary Board Exam, Kalyanmoy Ganguly, said, "this year 11,26,863 students will give the board exam. This is the all-time highest number of students who will sit for the board exam, with 50 thousand more students if compared with the previous year. Students have to maintain covid protocols during the exams. Wearing a mask inside the exam hall is mandatory."
The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education came up with a fresh set of guidelines this time. Examinees will not be allowed to visit the loo in the first hour and fifteen minutes into the exam.
In order to avoid the repeated instances of question-paper leaks, the board has arranged surveillance through closed-circuit cameras in exam centers.
The state department has directed the police to explore the possibility of shutting down internet service at the exam centers during the exam.
This year 6,21,931 girls and 4,96,890 boys will sit for this year's boar exam.
