India Today
On Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan sent a defamation notice to Delhi Police.
Ten days after being arrested over a protest against an anti-encroachment drive in Delhi's Madanpur Khadar, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan sent a defamation notice to Delhi Police on Saturday.
Tweeting about it on Sunday, he wrote, "Delhi Police is constantly targeting me, this time Delhi Police has attacked my right to live with dignity along with defaming my family. Delhi Police is weaving fabricated stories without any evidence."
He added, "Tell me, police, which lands did I grab or where did I engage in illegal construction? Where did I instigate riots? Which gang am I a part of? Today, I have sent defamation notice to Delhi Police. Delhi Police, either apologise or pay the damages."
