In its latest weather bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted for Uttarakhand till August 29.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry over the next five days. According to the latest updates, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to witness thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall on Wednesday. The weather agency has also predicted light showers with thunderstorms in interior parts of Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, the weatherman has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand till August 29 and has also issued a landslide warning. Districts such as Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Tehri and Rishikesh have been put on alert and Uttarakhand's Meteorological Director, Bikram Singh, warned of the rising water level in the rivers.More Related News
