Three subdivisions of interior Maharashtra have been put on an 'orange' alert by the India Meteorological Department(IMD). On the other hand, heavy rainfall is expected to lash Bihar for the next few days.
Even though the monsoon has subdued over most parts of the country with 33 per cent deficiency in rainfall, heavy rainfall has been predicted for Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and northeastern states. Water level of the river Ganga has reduced now but its impact can still be seen in nearby areas. I'm closely monitoring the situation.
