More than six lakh people have been badly affected as floods continue to wreak havoc in Assam and five people have lost their lives. Meanwhile, heavy rains continued in the national capital for the second day in a row.
The flood situation in Assam further worsened and more than 6 lakh people have been affected in 22 districts, Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) officials said. The data states that around 39,500 hectares of crops have been damaged and around 1,300 villages have been affected.
