The flood situation in Assam deteriorated further as nearly 5.74 lakh people in 18 districts were affected. Meanwhile, heavy rains lashed Delhi on Wednesday morning and an orange alert has been issued for the day.
The flood situation in Assam continued to remain grim with one more death reported, taking the death toll to three and around 5.74 lakh people suffering from the flood in 18 districts, news agency PTI reported. Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) officials informed that a middle-aged man was washed away in floods in Morigaon district on Tuesday.
