
Weapons seized, Pak link busted after massive NIA crackdown on gangsters across India

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided more than 50 places in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Delhi- NCR and recovered illicit weapons, incriminating documents besides exposing a gangster-terrorist nexus.
Recoveries of illicit weapons and incriminating documents besides exposing a gangster-terrorist nexus by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) after raiding more than 50 places in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Delhi-NCR have left agencies worried. The agency has registered two FIRs in Punjab and Haryana.
Sources say that the agencies, including NIA, were working on from last eight months to break the gangster- terrorist nexus, which came to light after the Patiala jail break and the RPG attack at Mohali police intelligence wing headquarters.
The joint operations launched by NIA with local police resulted in the recovery of six illegal weapons, 90 live cartridges and 10 mobile phone sets from the Yamunanagar residence of gangster Virender Pratap Singh alias Kala Rana.
The mastermind of Sidhu Moosewala murder, Goldy Brar's Muktsar residence was also searched for nearly three hours. The NIA team recovered one mobile SIM card from the gangster's residence.
NIA also took into possession some documents from the residence of gangster Gaurav Patial alias Lucky.
Similarly, two mobile phone sets and some documents were also recovered from jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya's Batala, Gurdaspur residence.
Hours of search at jailed Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's Dutaranwali, Abohar residence resulted in the recovery of one mobile set and two mobile SIM cards. NIA officials also took away with them the DVR of CCTV cameras.
