We knew Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 would touch Rs 100-crore mark, says Amar Upadhyay | Exclusive

In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, Amar Upadhyay talks about the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actor played the role of Tabu's husband in the film.
Amar Updadhyay is fondly remembered as Mihir from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. After making a mark for himself on TV, the actor switched to films and recently featured in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Amar is currently riding high on the success of his film, in which he played the role of Tabu's husband. Besides Amar and Tabu, the movie starred Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
Coming back to the film's success, Amar exclusively told IndiaToday.in, "It is pretty huge! I am very happy that I am a part of this film. We did anticipate it. We had discussed that the film would make nearly Rs 100 crore. Because the film looked huge. We were riding high on the success of the first part as well. And the way Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was being made, every scene made us believe more that it would touch Rs 100 crore."
Amar, who plays the role of Tabu's husband in the horror-comedy, further shared his experience of working with the actress. The actor was all praises for his co-star. "Tabu is a delight to work with. She is a very amazing person and a good human being. She's very well prepared. In the film, she has given a flawless performance. While performing on the set, she gave an effortless performance. She is friendly on the set. She, I and Anees (Bazmee) bhai would talk a lot on the set. It was great working with her," he added.
Before he signed off, Amar revealed why he chose to be a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. "The name Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 itself (attracted me to do this project). The first part of the franchise was a fantastic film. I loved the film completely. I think it was the first ever psychological horror thriller made. Everybody was so good in the film, right from Akshay Kumar to Vidya Balan. Even Rajpal Yadav was fantastic in the film," Amar said, on a concluding note.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released in cinemas on May 20, 2022.
