Air India was formally handed over to Tata Sons on January 27, after the latter won the bid to acquire the hitherto government-owned national carrier.
We have the entire nation wanting us to succeed, said Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran in his maiden address to Air India employees on Wednesday, as he laid out the blueprint for the future of the Maharaja.
Air India was formally handed over to Tata Sons on January 27, after the latter won the bid to acquire the hitherto government-owned national carrier.
Air India had over 12,000 employees, that as per the agreement, Tatas will have to retain for a year.
Speaking to the airline's employees virtually, N Chandrasekaran said, "With Air India joining Tata Group, we now have the opportunity to become the brand that represents the aspirations of 130 crore Indians."
"We have very big dreams for Air India," he added.
