While addressing a press conference, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the "AAP government doesn't know how to steal, but knows how to build schools and hospitals."
We don't know how to steal, do corruption, riots or hooliganism, but we know how to build schools and hospitals, said AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
While addressing a press conference on Sunday, the Delhi CM said, "The condition of Maharashtra government schools is very bad. Earlier, it was the same in Delhi, but now the situation has changed... Government schools' Class 12 students have achieved 97 per cent results while over four lakh private school students joined government schools."
He further added, "We did not join politics to make a career, we joined politics for mother India and to save the country."
"I ask God for only two things, one that my India should become the number one country in the world, and second that I live the day to watch," the Delhi CM said.
Arvind Kejriwal said, "I don't know politics, but just work... Other parties abuse me, raise questions over the free education system. But if I give free education to the poor, what's wrong with that? If I am giving free treatment to the poor, what is wrong? "
Meanwhile, the Delhi government has said that it has released funds for the payment of outstanding salaries of teaching and non-teaching staff in 12 colleges managed by it.
In a letter to Delhi BJP chief Adesh Gupta and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, the Delhi government's Directorate of High Education said Grant-in-Aid has been released to the 12 colleges on April 19 and has been credited in their accounts on April 22 for disbursement of salary and miscellaneous expenses.
