IPL 2021: All-rounder Vijay Shankar, speaking to inditoday.in, also said Sunrisers Hyderabad had a good dressing room environment despite results not going their way and the change in captaincy did not impact the way in which players approached and prepared for their matches.
All-rounder Vijay Shankar said Sunrissers Hyderabad players were worried but did not panic at any stage when news of positive Covid-19 cases emerged from bio-bubbles of multiple Indian Premier League franchises earlier this month. IPL 2021 was suspended on May 4 after a couple of players and support staff in Delhi and Ahmedabad contracted the virus despite being in bio-secure environments. Kolkata Knight Riders' match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 3 was postponed after two KKR players tested Covid-19 positive. Sunrisers Hyderabad were scheduled to take on Mumbai Indians on May 4 in Delhi but it emerged that wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha had contracted the novel coronavirus. Hours ahead of the match, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the T20 league would be indefinitely postponed.More Related News
