At-home treadmills are an easy way to increase your steps while you're working or watching TV.
You may, like me, have long been wondering if it’s worth investing in a walking pad to use at home. Whether you work from home or are simply looking to increase your steps in a low-key way, an at-home treadmill you can use under your desk or while you talk on the phone or watch TV could really upgrade your life. Plus, for people wary of going to the gym due to immune system concerns, an at-home pad enables you to jog at home with peace of mind.
To make things easy, HuffPost has compiled some of the current bestselling walking pads available at Amazon. What specs to look for in particular depends on the individual, but many of the best at-home treadmills have wheels and folding capability for enhanced portability and storage. Some options offer top handles for added stability should you need it. Added features may include the ability to add incline to your workout or to support broader ranges of speeds in case you’re hoping to jog or run and not only walk.
The short of it? If you’re looking for an affordable option that offers inclination but don’t anticipate wanting to jog or run, the Akluer pad is the one to get. If money is no object, I’m googly-eyed over the Nordic Track T treadmill, which offers speeds up to 10 mph and an incline up to 10%.
