Doctor Naresh Trehan is against the reopening of schools amid the Covid-19 pandemic, saying that we lack medical preparedness to handle cases of children.
Dr Naresh Trehan, Medanta Chairman, warned everyone about the risk of reopening schools amid Covid-19 pandemic. “From the point of view of medical preparedness, we are not prepared to handle children falling ill severely,” he said. Pointing out that schools have not opened for many months, he said, “Schools can wait for some time more to open. We have to be cautious. Hospitals are not prepared to take the load of Pediatric Patients. We don’t know if children were seropositive with Delta/Alpha or anything else (on questions of kids having immunity)."More Related News
