Water level in Papanasam dam on Thursday stood at 66.40 feet (maximum permissible level is 143 feet). The dam had inflow of 71.16 cusecs of water and 304.75 cusecs of water was discharged. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 94.70 feet (118 feet). The dam had an inflow of 133 cusecs and 645 cusecs of water was discharged.

Former CM B.S. Yediyurappa had challenged the first information report registered on March 14, 2024, on the alleged incident that occurred on February 2, 2024, the chargesheet filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), and the February 28, 2025, order of taking cognisance of offences afresh by the trial court.
