The water level in Papanasam dam was 19.40 feet (max level 143 ft) with an inflow of 77.32 cusecs and a discharge of 54.75 cusecs on Sunday. The water level in Manimuthar dam was 76.85 ft (118 ft) with an inflow of 55 cusecs and a discharge of 200 cusecs.

The rainfall (in mm) during the last 24 hours ending 6 a.m. on Sunday are as follows: Manimuthar 9, Papanasam 20, Kannadiyan dam 10.80 and in neighbouring Sengottai 11.20 mm rainfall, PWD officials said.
