The water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Thursday was 139.60 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 552 cusecs and a discharge of 1,867 cusecs. The water level in Vaigai dam was 69.29 ft. (71 ft.) with an inflow of 2,487 cusecs and a discharge of 2,839 cusecs. There was no rainfall in the region during the last 24 hours ending 6 a.m. on Thursday.
