Current water levels in Papanasam and Manimuthar dams, along with rainfall data for various areas in Tamil Nadu.
Water level in Papanasam dam stood at 87.15 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 52.55 cusecs and a discharge of 200 cusecs. Water level in Manimuthar dam stood at 85.90 feet (the maximum level is 118 feet) with an inflow of 53.96 cusecs and nil discharge.
The rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Wednesday was in (mm): Ambasamudram 25.80, Manimuthar 16.20, Palayamkottai 3.40, Tirunelveli 2, Kalakkad 9.40 and Kannadian Anicut recorded 31.20 mm rainfall.
