India's warm-up fixture against Leicestershire: Former captain Virat Kohli came to the rescue of young pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti after a fan continually pestered him to get photographs clicked with him.
Former captain Virat Kohli had an angry confrontation with a fan, who was sitting in the stands, on Day 2 of Rohit Sharma-led India's warm-up match against Leicestershire at Grace Road. Notably, Kohli spotted that a few fans were making fun of young Indian pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti, who was warming up near the boundary line during Leicestershire's innings.
Kohli then went to the dressing room balcony to defend the pacer and had an angry confrontation with the fan, which led to the fan arguing his case and claiming that he just wanted a photo with the youngster.
“Kab se bula rha hoon, photo he nahi khicha raha. Mai meri job choddh ke yaha aaya hoon. Kam se kam photo to khichwana chahiye. Nagarkoti ko bula raha hoon (I've been calling him for so long but he isn’t getting a photograph clicked with me. I have skipped my job to reach here. He should at least get a photo clicked. I am calling Nagarkoti),” the fan is heard in a video doing the rounds on social media.

“Match khelne aaya hai ya photo khichwane aaya hai (Has he come to play or get photographs clicked?),” Kohli asks the fan.
Nagarkoti is not a member of India's squad for the Test match but has traveled to England as a net-bowler alongside Navdeep Saini, R Sai Kishore, and Simranjeet Singh. Meanwhile, Kohli’s wretched run with the bat in hand continued as he was dismissed for 33 in the first innings. Kohli has failed to score an international hundred since the Day-night Test against Bangladesh in 2019.
