Mumbai Indians won their first match in the IPL after eight losses against Rajasthan Royals.
Mumbai Indians camp were seen in a jolly mood after their first win of the season against Rajasthan Royals. Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah and their overseas specialist speedster Riley Meredith were seen engaging in a fun piece of banter in practice.
In a bowling session, Meredith was recorded by the camera stating that Bumrah had promised one I-Pad to the pacer if he was able to nail a yorker. Meredith was seen running at full pace in ambitions of getting a free I-Pad but managed to miss the length by a long mile. The pacer managed to bowl a low full toss that was chipped by the batter straight back over the bowler's head.

While he might have missed the yorker this time in the nets, he was mighty fast against Rajasthan Royals. Meredith was the pick among the bowlers in the game against Rajasthan, registering the figures of 4-0-24-2. Not only did he pick two crucial lower order wickets,, but kept the likes of Jos Buttler quiet to make sure that Rajasthan were never ahead in the game.
MI have already stated that they will look to cause a few upsets in the final days of the group stage of the IPL. They will be up against Gujarat Titans on Friday, 6 May.
