Prosecutors in Kansas City, Missouri, are holding a news conference on the investigation into the shooting of Ralph Yarl, a Black teenager who was shot by a homeowner last week when he went to the wrong house to pick up his siblings.
A short time earlier, Kansas City police said a case file had been submitted to the Clay County Prosecutors Office "for their review and determination of charges" in the matter.
The 16-year-old was seriously injured in the shooting Thursday night. Attorney Ben Crump, who is representing the family, said the homeowner shot the teen in the head and then shot him a second time after the boy fell to the ground.
