Canada's Kim Boutin (Sherbrooke, Que.) advanced to the final of the 500, which is set to start at 7:52 a.m. ET.
Alyson Charles (Montreal) advanced to the semifinals, but will compete in the 'B' final. Teammate Florence Brunelle (Trois-Rivières, Que.) was penalized in the quarter-final and did not advance.
On the men's side, teammates Jordan Pierre-Gilles (Sherbrooke, Que.) and Pascal Dion (Montreal) both ended their day of competition early, with Pierre-Gilles being penalized for a lane change, and Dion falling during the quarter-finals of the 1,000.
The men's 1,000 medal final is set for 7:58 a.m. ET.
