The incident happened at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation or DGCA - the civil aviation body - will investigate this incident, its officials have said.
The car narrowly missed the IndiGo plane's nose wheel and there was no damage to the plane, aviation industry sources told Press Trust of India.
