A video explainer on Delhi's water shortage and how the landlocked city gets its water
A delayed monsoon has resulted in Delhi's water woes increasing multifold. Water levels of the Yamuna at the Wazirabad Barrage has hit the in July 2021. The drastic fall in the water level has affected water production at Wazirabad, Okhla and Chandrawal water treatment plants which supply drinking water to central, north, west and south Delhi. Delhi is a landlocked city and receives raw water from neighbouring States, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. The largest share of water comes from Haryana via the Yamuna through three different channels.More Related News
