
Warangal airport should attract investments from countries that give priority to airports: Telangana CM

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy issued instructions to plan highways for easy access to Mamnoor airport, aiming to attract investments and boost tourism.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy issued instructions to chart plans for highways making it convenient for people in erstwhile united Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Nalgonda to comfortably commute to Mamnoor airport in Warangal. Outer Ring Road and radial roads should be connected to it. He wanted officials to check the facilities at the Kochi airport which has all the amenities.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on the land acquisition and other aspects of the Mamnoor airport, at Integrated Command Control Centre in Hyderabad on Thursday (January 9, 2025).
Mr. Reddy said that South Korea gives a priority to availability of airport for their investments. The Warangal airport should attract investments from such countries. He said that upon completion of the works, people visiting Medaram Jatara, Laknavaram, Ramappa and other tourist destinations in that part of the State would utilise the facility.
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Forest and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, Chief Secretary A. Santhi kumari, Warangal collector Satya Sharadaa and others attended the meeting.
